Is this an official government service?
No. We're a private service that handles the official NCC opt-out process on your behalf. The opt-out itself is registered with the government — we just do the paperwork for you.
Can I do this myself for free?
Technically yes — the NCC has a self-service portal. In practice, many people find it confusing: you must know which opt-out categories apply to you, submit a certified ID copy in the correct format, navigate the government portal, and follow up manually if your registration isn't confirmed. Most people who try it themselves either do it incompletely or give up. Our R199 covers having it done correctly the first time, with written confirmation — and we handle any resubmissions if telemarketers don't comply.
How long before calls stop?
Once registered with the NCC, telemarketers are legally required to stop calling you. This can take several weeks as companies update their systems at different rates.
How is my personal information protected?
Your information is used only to complete the NCC registration. We comply with POPIA and do not sell or share your data with any third parties, ever.
What does "NCC complaint support" mean exactly?
If you're still receiving telemarketing calls 6 weeks after your DNCR registration is confirmed, telemarketers are in breach of the Consumer Protection Act. We will file a formal NCC complaint on your behalf at no additional charge — the same process the NCC uses to enforce compliance. This is separate from the initial registration: it's the enforcement step that most people don't know exists. Email us your order reference and the details of the offending caller and we handle the rest.
